Purpura is one of the symptoms of meningitis, hepatitis
and leukaemia. It starts as a rash of red pin-prick spots,
which develop into larger purplish marks just below the
skin's surface. Perform the glass test be pressing a glass
tumbler against the spots. Purpura does not fade under
pressure unlike normal rash. If you think your child has
purpura, contact the doctor immediately.
