Kat confided in me last night – she told me that she has given up candy for a week as a sacrifice to God (?) – Now, where did she get this idea from? (She has not watched a single episode of Lost!)
As per Kat, this sacrifice will apparently help God work in Kat’s favour during the Tennis Tournament later this week…
“If you ask God for something earnestly, do you get it?” Kat asks me.
“God gives you something when you work hard for it” I say “And of course if you ask for long hair by tomorrow, that’s not going to happen!” I am quick to add (thinking of all the endless battles we've had over long and short hair)
She has that teddy bear look which sometimes makes me feel like a monster for having destroyed the Tooth Fairy and Santa…she is a little baby, isn’t she, no matter what she says? The Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus and Jonas Brothers on the walls mean nothing right now…she's just a little girl who still likes to play a game of Candy Land with me or Papa before going to bed each night…
Another fine day…off to camp with her tennis racquet…Go, Girl, Go!
