Nine Months : Calculating your Due Date

Now that you are pregnant, why not mark the estimated date of your baby's arrival into this world in your calendar?

Remember that although an average pregnancy lasts for about 40 weeks, a normal pregnancy can be anything from 38 to 42 weeks.

You should remember that since you don't know the exact date of ovulation, this estimated date of delivery (EDD) or due date is approximate.

At about 10-12 weeks, you may be offered an ultrasound scan to confirm the EDD.
