Your gums tend to become spongy in pregnancy. They are also more prone to infection. Tender gums may cause you to have a pink toothbrush, a term used to describe the bleeding gums while brushing.
Make an appointment with the dentist and remember that dental care is free for pregnant women and also till your child is one year old.
X-rays are not advised in pregnancy, hence you must notify your dentist beforehand that you are pregnant.
