About a month before the EDD, it is a good idea to pack all the things you will need for the birth. Irrespective of whether you are planning for a home or hospital birth, you will need to pack or get ready for both yourself and your baby.
If you are planning a hospital birth, remember to make transport arrangements (with an alternative as well) and keep your bags at hand so that you don't have to search for them while in labour! Also, ensure that you're carrying with you any medication that you may be taking and remember (you or your partner) to hand it over to the midwife once you reach the hospital.
Where ever you decide to have your baby, don't forget to have a birth plan ready. Your midwife should have signed it at around 34 weeks.
